We step off of the plane in the Virgin Islands and IT'S SUMMER! Beautiful flowers everywhere, sunshine, blue water and tropical breezes.
Well I am stuck on the hill again, but hopefully it will warm up enough I can get out this afternoon. This is the driveway we have to go down to get out and as you can see there is a big curve that goes all the way back around that you have to get around. Oh well, it looks pretty.
Two of the does wait for their babies on the hill outside the barn. I wonder what they are talking about? I can just imagine since most of them have twins!
The pasture below the barn looks cold and bleak. It hard to imagine that in the spring it will be lush and green and daffodils bloom there. In the fence row you can see piles of rock from what used to be another old stone fence.
The mothers hang out on the hillside outside the barn waiting for their kids. I think its like they put them in day care for the day and pick them up at night.
Yesterday when I went for my walk around the hayfield Alexander went along with me and walked with me for the 30 minutes I walked. I just wish he would learn to walk quietly, he talks the whole time we are walking.
Yesterday was a foggy, misty day and the goats wandered around the hillside looking for grass to eat. It has all turned brown now but they find things to eat.
