My little house is beginning to look like a house not just a square box. It now has a roof and a porch. I am excited, it's going to be just what I need, just the right size, like Winnie The Pooh's house. I have named it the "Honey Pot".
The red barn really stands out in the snow.
We got up to about 5 inches of snow and I took Marley and Cocoa out to play in it. Cocoa came in like a dog snowman. The hair and ice combined and I had to put her in a tub of warm water to get her cleaned up.
I went for a walk a few days ago and made a picture of my little house in relation to the rest of the farm. Its on the very edge on the right below the red barn, kind of away from all the activity. It is where the first old farmhouse on the farm was. It has always felt like there was a happy home here, it seems to have a peaceful atmosphere.
Oh what a job! She has enough energy for 3 dogs. Donna was actually on the 4wheeler and went around the pond 3 times and Marley stayed right beside her at 30 MPH. When you open the gate she is out like a greyhound on a racetrack. She is getting a little better. Donna gives her a C-.
For the past weeks when it has been so cold Doodle has spent all her time on a heating pad. It finally got to 53 degrees and she came out for a little while.
Tank and Marley have become big buddies. Marley is learning from Tank on how to be a guard dog. Only thing is Tank barks are ever leaf that moves and Marley thinks she has to also.
We are trying to train Marley and she is out of control. So I will be spending hours walking her back and forth and training her. It will give me plenty of exercise.
It amazes me how no matter how cold it gets if the water is open the geese are in it swimming, diving and playing. Yesterday they were playing like it was the middle of summer!
Yesterday the builders put up a large part of my house. Now we are waiting on the trusses and the doors and windows. I love it!!! It's just the right size, my Winnie The Pooh house.
